Wood Hobby Shop
The Wood Hobby Shop offers classes in pen turning and bowl making and has all the tools and equipment to complete your project. Completion of Safety Classes is required.

Wednesdays thru Fridays 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays 12:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Safety Class completion required for admission.

Registration is required for every class as space is limited. All patrons must bring their own approved eye, hearing and respiratory protection.
Coin Ring Making Class
Wednesdays 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Fee: $4.00 per hour
This is a fun class to take a regular coin and turn it into a shiny ring! We will show you the basics you need to achieve this and take your coin ring home the same day. Please bring your own coin for this class but we also have some finished coins on display to view.
3D Filament Printing Class
Thursdays 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Fee: $4.00 per hour
Come by and learn the basics of splicing and printing off a basic design using a 3d printer! Learn infill levels and how to go from idea to print!
Small Japanese Style Stool Class
Fridays 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Fee: $4.00 per hour
Come by and make a traditional style stool! This class uses no nails or screws and will be challenging and fun!
Soldering Circuit Boards Class
Saturdays 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Fee: $4.00 per hour
This is a fun class to help you learn the basics of circuit board maintenance and setup! This class will teach you how to attach electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits that enable the flow of electricity to functioning devices!
Open Shop
Saturdays 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Fee: $4.00 per hour
This day is an open day where the customer can come in and bring some new ideas or projects in. Please come by and build something beautiful with our staff’s help!
Wood Hobby Shop Safety Class
Saturdays, 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Fee: $15.00
Learn safety and basic operating procedures of both stationary and hand tools. There will be a brief introduction to the Wood Hobby Shop staff and rules. A WHS Safety card will be issued upon training completion and passing of the test. This card must be presented to the WHS staff to gain admittance to the shop.
